지난 21일 부산시민회관 소강당에서 2025 사랑인도문화축제가 개최 되었다.

 

주한인도대사관과 주한인도문화원이 주최하고 인디아센터 이순철원장이 주관한 행사로 인도의 깊은 정신과 예술적 아름다움을 경험하는 시간이 되었다.

 

인도의 문화를 부산에 널리 알리고 있는 인디아센터 이순철원장님의 축사와 내빈소개로 시작되었다.

 

본격적인 인도전통예술 공연이 펼쳐졌는데, 첫번째 무대는 인도 동부 자르칸드 지역의 전통 춤, 세라이켈라 차우댄스로 라뜨리 밤이란 제목의 공연을 통해 밤의 신성함과 어머니의 따스함, 그리고 달과의 교감을 아름답게 담아낸 무대를 선보였다.

 

다음으로 인도 남서부 케랄라 지역의 전통 무용극으로, 스리나탄 스리나타 만디람이 이끄는 유명극단이 펼치는 인도 고전무용 “카타칼리”공연이 약 40분간 이어졌다.

 

카타칼리는 케랄라에서 유래된 8대 전통 춤 중의 하나로, 춤, 연극, 음악이 하나로 어우러진 인도의 대표적인 고전 예술이며, 배우들은 대사가 없이도 손동작과 표정만으로 감정을 전달하며, 신성과 인간의 갈등, 평화와 분노, 사랑과 정의의 이야기를 무대 위에 펼쳐냈다. 

 

1막-전쟁을 부르는 맹세, 2막-권력에 취한 오만, 3막-Bhima의 분노, 총 3막으로 구성되어 40여분간 화려한 의상과 강렬한 표정, 북소리와 리듬이 함께 어우러지는 이 전통 무용극을 통해 인도 예술의 깊은 정신을 느껴보는 시간이 되었다. 

 

11월 24일부터 29일까지 양산 쌍벽루아트홀에서 인도영화제가 개체 되며, 27일 목요일은 부산 영화의 전당에서 개막식과 함께 3일간 총 6편의 인도영화를 상영하며, 관계자에 따르면 "모든 영화는 무료로 보실 수 있다"며 "앞으로도 인도 문화와 예술에 많은 관심"을 부탁하였다.

 

이 날 행사를 마무리하며 관계자는 오늘의 이 교감이 한국과 인도의 우정, 예술의 연대로 더욱 깊어지기를 바란다고 밝혔다.

 

 

 

The 2025 Love India Cultural Festival was held at the Small Auditorium of the Busan Citizens' Hall on the 21st.

 

Hosted by the Embassy of India in Korea and the Indian Cultural Centre in Korea, and organized by Director Lee Soon-cheol of the India Center, the event provided an opportunity to experience India's profound spirituality and artistic beauty.

 

It began with an opening address by Director Lee Soon-cheol of the India Center, who is actively promoting Indian culture in Busan, followed by introductions of the distinguished guests.

 

The main program featured traditional Indian art performances. The first stage presented the traditional dance of the eastern Indian state of Jharkhand, the Sareekella Chaudhan dance. Titled “Ratri Bham,” the performance beautifully captured the sacredness of the night, the warmth of a mother, and communion with the moon.

 

Next, a renowned troupe led by Srinathan Srinath Mandir presented the Indian classical dance “Kathakali,” a traditional dance drama from the southwestern region of Kerala. This performance lasted approximately 40 minutes.

 

Kathakali, one of the eight major traditional dances originating in Kerala, is a quintessential Indian classical art form blending dance, theater, and music. Without dialogue, the performers conveyed emotions solely through hand gestures and facial expressions, unfolding stories of conflict between the divine and human, peace and rage, love and justice on stage.

 

Comprising three acts—Act 1: The Oath That Summons War, Act 2: The Arrogance of Power, and Act 3: Bhima's Wrath—this traditional dance drama, lasting over 40 minutes, offered a time to experience the profound spirit of Indian art through its dazzling costumes, intense expressions, and the harmonious blend of drumbeats and rhythm.

 

The Indian Film Festival runs from November 24th to 29th at the Ssangbyeokru Art Hall in Yangsan. On Thursday the 27th, the opening ceremony will be held at the Busan Cinema Center, followed by screenings of six Indian films over three days. According to organizers, “All films are free to watch,” and they requested “continued interest in Indian culture and arts.”

 

Concluding the day's event, an official expressed hope that today's shared experience would deepen the friendship and artistic solidarity between Korea and India.
